DR. AYABA CHO LUCAS, STILL INTRANSIGENT TO COLLABORATION
When I saw the video on collaboration of Dr. Cho Ayaba Lucas, at first sight, I heaved a sigh of relief, and began telling my friends, that at last the LRC demonic dictatorship will see its end rapidly. I had not listened to the video then, but to my greatest dismay, I felt deceived, annoyed and terribly upset after listening to the usual recitations of Dr. Ayaba aimless rhetoric to please the weak minded and manipulate the short sighted to think he means good for the Ambazonia people. This video came on the same day of the gruesome murder of a group of youths in Santa, purported to have been deceived into this calamity by Atanga Nji Paul. With the sadness that once again spread over Ambazonia, I expected Ayaba to come out and finally end the long awaited resistance to collaboration with the Interim Government of Ambazonia, for that is the crux of the matter. But no, Dr. Ayaba once again demonstrated his intransigence to genuine cooperation by describing his own kind of collaboration at this critical point in time which indeed did not mention the IG, instead it demonstrated his continuous rejection of recognition of the IG. In passing, and probably he did not mean it, he mentioned the capture of the Ambazonia leaders, and later reiterated his resolve to work only with a democratically elected structure, meaning, he did not recognise the IG and would want the people of Ambazonia at this time, to go back to the drawing table to reconstruct who should constitute the collaborative platform according to his own whims and caprices. Some ambazonians were so quick overwhelmingly throw the ball over to the IG, saying it is left now for the IG to fulfil its own part to show also its willingness to cooperate with the Ayaba description of the collaborative platform. I have observed for a very long time, the criticisms levelled against Ayaba, and I have been very reticent because I am not interested in low level interventions and childish and selfish arguments and tussles over leadership. In fact, the surrogates of Ayaba have contributed to bring him to where he is today. No one dares to correct him. Permit me to draw an analogy here. It is the same scenario that Paul is facing today. His own surrogates have falsely elevated him only to led him have a huge fall. The intransigence of Dr. Ayaba is with the complicity and overwhelming support and fanatical support in fact of his surrogates of the AGC who have been so abusive of the IG leadership and who refuse to come to terms with the fact that the business of government is not identical with the business of pressure groups. Ambazonians who think anyone in the struggle is as good as the other are deceiving themselves. All of us are not the same in the various interventions that are needed to bring Diplomatic recognition around the world or legal representation or even collaboration with other movements around the world. The IG which is the government, cannot come and perform the task of the pressure movements like the AGC, SCYL, ARCC, etc. In the event of a negotiation, we should come to terms with the fact that real high level negotiators and qualified heavy weights are required to turn our situation right round and not just anyone can do it. Again, the real business of the revolution is massively taken place away from social media and we should know that. We cannot expect that the pockets of successes registered by the various pressure groups and movements in the struggle, should be identical with the performance and roles of the government. One is a pressure group and another is a government. Time is not on our side to re-start the singing of democratically elected platform by the ambazonians and it is rightly out of place to insist on this as Dr. Ayaba wants Ambazonians to go back to the drawing table. I have got confirmation, that the various groups which he mentioned in his video that were demanding collaboration were doing so in the hope that he would humbly collaborate with the IG, for that has been the specific cry of the Ambazonia people especially those of GZ who have been hoping that those out there could come to one common platform, not necessarily dissolving the respective groups anyhow but to collaborate somehow due to the common enemy we have to defeat. Listening to Dr. Ayaba's prescription of the kind of collaboration it is clear he deceived those groups he mentioned to think he will do something in common with the IG not knowing he would sit in the privacy of his residence and work out his own kind of collaborative platform and within his own terms that he wants the Ambazonians to follow. This cannot be called by any other name than intransigence, obstinacy and senseless pride in the midst of suffering and strife on Ground Zero. Does Dr. Ayaba really care about democracy which has been described as government of the people by the people and for the people? Ignoring the demands of the people and working out his own terms under which the people should at this present critical moment, abandon what they have seriously engaged in, and for which we cannot tolerate any failure, to embrace a new structure can only also be termed as arrogance. Shockingly enough, some of us have shown that we are so desperate that anything just holds for anything. We must know, that in order to succeed in these trying times, our strategists are not sleeping, both in the diplomatic and self defence perspectives and their plans are those that are well calculated to bring us only success. We cannot afford to fail. Looking at the 20th May strategy, and the response on Ground Zero and the resilience demonstrated by the people in obedience to their government, the IG, we cannot afford to be distracted by shirking off the present structures to embrace an anonymous setup without a name and purpose only because we want to bring Dr. Ayaba and his anti IG surrogates, on board and he must only come on board with his, or in his own terms. This is disastrous. It is not every Ambazonia that can sit on the negotiation table with those crooks from the LRC. We need heavy weights and not clowns just because of the kind of democracy that only us can describe. Why are we prone to manipulate our followers? Why are we prone to manipulate the people of Ambazonia? What is the gain from this kind of intransigence? This is a great shame. At a time when the international community is getting seriously involved, we are busy working our counter strategies to bring down the IG with whom any sensible person on earth can discuss. The IG is aware of the inclusive nature of participation in the event of any negotiation because, they need to possess all the JOKERS as in the game of cards and not adventurers. Let us be critical please and let us not be overtaken by the rhetoric of Dr. Ayaba which is not inclusive at all. On our own side, are the various groups able to face each other in an inclusive strategy to fight the murderous enemy we are facing? And why must it only be the IG which Dr. Ayaba has continuously referred to as the Zaria Mafia and the product of fraud. Can the AGC do that task? Our success lies on the different level and whether we like it or not, the participation and successes recorded with the UNPO now with the ANC are good and proper at the pressure group level but at the government level it is totally a different scenario. Let us be since first to ourselves and see, what is good for us at this present moment.
