A Good Reply to Joseph Beti Assomo as published by Dave WANTANGWA

The President, Anglophone Youths Association, Yaoundé
Responds to the Minister’s Press Release

We can now conclude that all Anglophones in Yaoundé have now become targets of your indiscriminate harassment. Before I proceed, we want to ask you since when it has become a crime to refuge our brothers and sisters who are fleeing from your military brutality and secondly, how have our house utensils become linked to terrorists activities... Mr. Minister, we want to make this point very clear to you...our brothers and sisters seeking refuge in Yaoundé are not terrorists and never should they be referred to as such in any future press release from you. We want to let you understand that should this indiscriminate harassment continue against Anglophones in Yaoundé, we promise to make this town ungovernable and unsafe for everyone, you included...We can no longer understand how your forces intrude into the homes of noble citizens at ungodly hours and carry away their TV screens ,fridges and other items in the name of terrorists search. A fridge or TV that was purchased some 20 years and has been in use since then, it’s only now that your forces break into home to ask for receipts... how do you explain that. Are you sure that everything in your own house has a receipt? Forewarned is forearmed. Do not let this crisis degenerate into something else Mr. Minister for we have had enough of you. If you deem it necessary, do your worse and we are ready for anything...After killing our brothers and sisters back home, as if that is not enough, you now start harassing us in Yaoundé...Be warned. Don’t force to do things that we have never thought of because we are capable...
Continue and see what happens...
